UGC NET 2024 Result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results for the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) June 2024 on October 17, 2024. The examination, conducted on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC), determines the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and Ph.D.admissions across Indian universities.
Over 11 lakh candidates registered for the exam, but only around 6.84 lakh appeared. Among them, 4970 candidates qualified for JRF, 53,694 for Assistant Professor positions, and 1,12,070 for Ph.D. admissions.
Exam Details and Schedule
The UGC NET June 2024 exam was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across 280 cities in India. The exam spanned 11 days, from August 21, 2024, to September 5, 2024, covering 83 subjects in 21 shifts.

Transparency Measures
NTA ensured transparency by hosting the question papers, provisional answer keys, and recorded responses on the official website from September 7 to September 14, 2024, allowing candidates to challenge the results. Verified challenges were considered before finalising the results.
