Kunal Kamra on Ola plan to refund customers: All I can do is let Bhavish Aggarwal know that ...

Ola and its founder CEO Bhavish Aggarwal are again under fire from comedian Kunal Kamra, who has now criticised the company’s handling of customer complaints and its recently announced refund plans. The latest criticism follows a public exchange on social media platform X (previously Twitter) earlier this month where Kamra and Aggarwal clashed over Ola Electric‘s after-sales service and product quality.
Kamra’s latest jab comes after Ola’s shares plunged following a show cause notice from the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) for alleged misleading advertisement and unfair trade practices. The company has since announced plans to address customer complaints and offer refunds, a move that Kamra seems to find inadequate.

Take a look at the post here

In the post, Kamra wrote: “Ola Electric hasn’t disclosed any plan to issue refunds or put an end date to current customer complaints. We don’t even know. If there is a plan…All I can do is Let
@bhash know that he has to put out a public plan which doesn’t include employing me.”

Ongoing online spat between Ola’s Bhavish Aggarwal and comedian Kunal Kamra

The ongoing feud between the comedian and the Ola CEO began when Kamra highlighted issues with Ola Electric scooters on social media earlier this month. This prompted a defensive response from Aggarwal. This latest exchange further fuels the controversy surrounding Ola Electric’s customer service and reliability.
A previous post by Aggarwal showcasing Ola’s gigafactory sparked a heated exchange with Kamra on social media. Kamra responded to Aggarwal’s post with an image of numerous Ola Electric scooters seemingly awaiting service, implying a backlog in the company’s service network.
Aggarwal fired back, accusing Kamra of being a “failed stand-up comic” and suggesting his post was a “paid one.” He defended Ola Electric’s service network, stating it was rapidly expanding and would address any backlogs “soon.”
This public spat highlights the ongoing concerns surrounding Ola Electric’s after-sales service and quality, with Kamra’s post bringing these issues to the forefront. Aggarwal’s response, rather than addressing the concerns, further fueled the controversy with its dismissive tone.
