Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: Host Amitabh Bachchan expresses his happiness while talking about his favourite Indian football club 'Mohun Bagan'

The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 starts with rollover contestant Prashant Jamdade from Sangli Maharashtra, who went on to win Rs 25,00,000. After Prashant left the show, host Amitabh Bachchan played Fastest Finger First round and Bachchu Santra made it to the hot seat. After being selected, Bachchu’s intense reaction prompts Big B to question him. In a humorous exchange, Mr.Bachchan jokingly admits that Bachchu’s demeanor frightened him, making him feel like they were about to have a fight. Big B playfully teases him, asking, “Who did you send that flying kiss to?” Bachchu then reveals with a smile that it was for his wife. Bachchu Santra is from Hooghly, West Bengal and is currently working as a Government teacher and is preparing from West Bengal’s Civil Services.
Bachchu’s name draw’s Big B’s attention towards him who asks him the reason behind his strange name. The contestant reveals he is not the first one to ask this question. He says, “I was made fun of over my name in school and college. In Bengal, a small child of the village is called Bachul and I started getting teased. This happened in school and college. I am a teacher and they still call me a child. I don’t known when will I become an adult. That’s the reason I played an extra attention while naming my daughter and I have named her Ayushi. Koi na chidha sakhe.”
Big B playfully suggests that the contestant should consider changing his name, but Bachchu explains that all his official documents carry the name Bachchu, and changing it now would be a long and difficult process. Bachchu then shares that he likes the name Ayushmaan, to which Mr. Bachchan responds by saying that, from now on, he will be called Ayushmaan.
Big B starts the game with Bachchu and asks the first question for Rs 1000. In schools, which of these is used to mark whether you are present or absent? He selects Option C) Attendance Register. While answering one of the questions on sports Bachchu reveals how much he loves cricket. Big B says he wanted to ask if he plays football but it is pointless to ask a Bengali as everyone from Bengal plays football. He asks the contestant which is his favourite team Mohun Bagan or East Bengal – and Bachchu selects Mohun Bagan and Big B gets thrilled. The megastar says, “Aye Shabhaash, I am team Mohun Bagan too.”
Mr Bachchan asks next question for Rs 10,000. What does K refer to when talking about K- dramas like Legend of the Blue Sea and Squid Game? The contestant selects Option D) Korean Drama. Bachchu reveals he and his wife love watching Korean dramas and they binge watch it. He further shares he loves watching romantic dramas. Host Mr Bachchan asks Bachchu’s wife if he is romantic in real life also and she complains that he was while they were dating but after marriage he has changed.
The contestant reveals. “In school, there is a complaint box in every class and those who have a complaint give the paper to the monitor. Similarly, if you place a complaint box I my house, it will fill up in a day.” This leaves everyone in splits of laughter including Mr Bachchan.
Next, Bachchu faces the Super Sawaal Musician Amaan And Ayaan Ali Bangash are sons of which legendary Indian Instrumentalist? However, Bachchu gives a wrong answer and loses the opportunity to bag the chance to win the super power ‘Dugnastraa’. The correct answer was Ustad Amjad Ali Khan.
The contestant gets stuck on the question for Rs 40,000. In which filed was Dr Homi Bhabha nominated for the Nobel Prize on five separate occasions? He uses ‘Audience Poll’ lifeline and goes with Option C) Physics.
Host Mr Bachchan reads out the next question for Rs 1,60,000. Which of these birds is known for killing humans with blows of its feet? As he is unaware of the answer, he takes the help of ‘Video Call A Friend’ but as he doesn’t get any specific answer he uses another lifeline ‘Double Dip’. He first selects Option B) Albatross but it is the wrong answer so he goes with C) Cassowary and it is the correct answer.

Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 8’ to air on September

Contestant Bachchu next faces the question for Rs 3,20,000. Which person, who died before the publication of The English Teacher, did RK Narayan dedicate that book for? As he is unaware of the answer, Bachchu decides to quit the show. The correct answer is Option B) Wife.
Bachchu takes home Rs 1,60,000. The episode comes to an end.
