NEW DELHI: Star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya on Wednesday recalled India’s encounter against Pakistan in the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The memorable match took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on this same day in 2022.
In front of a crowd of 90,000, Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 82 off 53 balls. His two sixes in the penultimate over bowled by Haris Rauf were crucial in bringing India back into the game.
With India in a difficult position during the chase, Kohli stepped up to the challenge, igniting the hopes of millions of supporters with each shot he played.
Pandya, who was part of that historic match, shared his thoughts on Instagram, posting a picture with the caption: “A game like no other, and one that will stay with me forever. Nothing makes me happier than playing for my country.”
