NEW DELHI: BJP National President and Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Tuesday addressed party workers at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the party’s success in the Haryana Assembly elections. He attributed the BJP’s continued victory in the state to the trust the people have placed in PM Modi’s leadership.
Nadda highlighted the party’s achievement, stating, “BJP’s victory in Haryana, increase in vote share in J&K reflect trust bestowed by people in PM Modi.” He further emphasised how the BJP had now firmly established itself in Haryana, saying, “Today under your (PM Modi) leadership, Haryana has become BJP’s bastion, and we are going to successively form the government there for the third time.”
Then, taking a direct jab at Congress, Nadda accused the opposition party of spreading misinformation, only to be rejected by the people.”When the people of Congress were engaged in spreading lies in every way, at that time the people did not listen to them and again formed the government in Haryana,” Nadda added during his speech. He went on to criticise Congress, stating, “Where there is Congress, there is corruption, commission, and criminalisation.”
Nadda also took an idirect aim at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), calling it a “rigid and corrupt” entity. Without naming the party directly,he said, “There is a rigid and corrupt party which contested on all the 90 seats, but they lost their deposits on all of them.”
Nadda added that the BJP’s vote share and seat tally had improved in Jammu and Kashmir as well.
Reflecting on PM Modi’s political career, Nadda lauded his long-standing commitment to public service. “Yesterday, you (PM Modi) completed 23 years of your life as principal administrator. Thirteen years as the Chief Minister and 10 years as the Prime Minister, you served as the Pradhan Sevak,” Nadda said, adding that the Prime Minister’s dedication had changed the political landscape of the country.
Looking ahead, Nadda emphasised the BJP’s ambition to secure victories in upcoming elections. “…Now we have to win Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Delhi also,” he declared, reiterating the party’s focus on expanding its influence across the country.
Nadda also said, “The mood of Haryana and the country is ‘Modi-like’. This proves once again that ‘If Modi is there, then it is possible.'”
Nadda then called on BJP members to maintain unity and work towards securing the party’s success in the forthcoming state elections in Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Delhi.
