Royal Rumble 2025 has been announced earlier this week by WWE and it is going to be a massive celebration of one of the most exciting matches of the year, in Indianapolis. With the announcement, netizens have started speculating about the surprising and anticipated entries that are going to take place in the Rumble. One name that is on the top of everyone’s speculative list, is the 16 time WWE Champion and Hollywood star, John Cena, who everybody would love to see in the Royal Rumble match.
So, here are 3 reasons why John Cena must make an appearance at Royal Rumble, 2025
1. Perfect time to start his “Farewell Tour”
At the Money in the Bank PLE earlier this year, John Cena announced that he’s going to retire from WWE at the end of 2025, making all of his fans emotional. Later, it was reported that John is going to have around 40 dates for his “Retirement Tour”, that may initiate later this year. Therefore, one of the biggest events of the year in WWE, Royal Rumble would be the most auspicious occasion for the “Cenation Leader”, to start his Farewell Tour. If he starts the tour with a 3rd Royal Rumble win, it would be a cherry on top for his career.
2. To make Royal Rumble even more grand
As Cena has stated a lot of times, he wants to contribute as much as he can to the WWE and wants to give back to the fans. Therefore, having him participate in the traditional Royal Rumble match, on 1st of February would make all his fans happy and excited about the Rumble. Since it will be the first Royal Rumble to not be held in the month of January, something special has to be done by WWE to make it even more glorious. Hence, who better than “The Champ” himself, to enthrall the audience. He has won the Royal Rumble a couple of times earlier and a third time wouldn’t hurt anyone.
3. Perfect launchpad for a final Championship reign.
If John is going to retire at the end of 2025, there must be some plans made by WWE to hand him one last World Championship. This way John can make the record for the most World Championships(17) won in the history of Pro Wrestling. For that to happen, Royal Rumble can be the perfect launchpad for the former World Champion. Even if he does not win the Rumble, he can get into the mix of the Championship scene. And if somehow he manages to win the Royal Rumble for the third time, he can directly challenge any of the two World Champions of WWE.
Therefore, John Cena must participate in the Royal Rumble 2025.
